Pet\u0151fi's May Festival<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

All Students and Teachers are invited to an authentic concert on the occasion of Pet\u0151fi's anniversary!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

2023. 5th May<\/strong>11:30-13:00<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1054 Budapest Alkotm\u00e1ny street 9-11. Demj\u00e1n S\u00e1ndor (V.) auditorium<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The BorFolk Orchestra - <\/em>one of whose members is an associate professor of our faculty - is going to present some folklorized poems of S\u00e1ndor Pet\u0151fi from its CD: \u2018Oh this Rapture\u2019. We can also hear some of the works written by FCHT students and teachers, which were prepared for the translation game <\/em>and the creative competition. <\/em>There will be a game, catering and some you can take small souvenir with you after the concert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All students and teachers are cordially invited by<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Are you interested in poetry? Translate Pet\u0151fi!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

We are planning various programs for the Pet\u0151fi anniversary between March and May 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now we invite you to translate a poem by Pet\u0151fi into any language or send a poem you like (we ask for your own translation).<\/strong> We continuously share the poems on our website, social media sites, and posters, and the works will also be published in the form of a small booklet in May.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The FCHT Faculty Library is launching a call for creative works: <\/em><\/strong>literary-, musical-, <\/strong>artistic-, photo-, gastronomic and other works inspired in some way by Pet\u0151fi's personality (https:\/\/hungarytoday.hu\/hungarys-national-poet-sandor-petofi-born-200-years-ago\/), his works, his era or any personal experience. Youtubers, tiktokers, instagrammers, bloggers, attention!\u202f? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your works are welcome in person at the Faculty Library or at this address: petofi200@uni-be.hu<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Submission deadline: 30 April 2023. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your works will be presented at the closing event - according to their genre -, in the FCHT Pet\u0151fi200 programme publication, the visual art works in an exhibition and the poetic and musical works on stage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The most imaginative works will receive a prize as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
